What's the largest Big Bore kit without crankcase modding?
Hi all,
Does anyone know the largest CID you can get as a bolt on piston/cylinder package without having to have the stock 2007 TC96 crankcase bored for larger sleeves?
Hillside, Fuel Moto, S&S and I'm sure a few others have 107" kits that will bolt right up. I haven't heard of anything larger without going to thicker cylinders and having the cases machined.
Many thanks! So when folks DO decide to have the case modded and a big job done, do they crate and send the block or just drive to a service center and have it all done? (don't know that I'd be able to afford the "full service" option...)
Whether you go 103 or 107, add compression releases. 96" did not come with auto CR. Fuel Moto offers ( and recommends ) manual CR HD heads. Or you can go auto from HD - harness is plug in, have the heads drilled.

Holy crap! So for my TC96, I'll need not only the Big Bore kit but also have the heads machined for CR? Sounds like i just need to drop another 15 lbs instead... By the time you run all the costs on all the upgrades, I'm better off getting an S&S 124 cid!
