I finally pulled the trigger today and traded in my 2010 fatboy for a 2015 Road Glide special. So now the fun of spending more money.
I'm currently loving the look of the Arlen Ness Tru-x exhaust. Does anyone know how the performance is of this pipe? Is there anything else to know about it?
pipes can make a huge difference on a highly built motor- it which case the motor builder will likely have suggestions.
On a near-stock motor you'll get he same power gains from removing your catalytic converter ( or ebay $150) as you will from any of the $600 or $1200 pipes.
New bike, I;d suggest you just ride it and keep it warranty compliant until it has proven itself
I just did the same thing but with a 2006 Night Train, The RG is such a better ride on the highway.
Search the web or even this site for what your looking for, there is a lot of info out there these days..
I researched my stage 1 for months before I decided. Good Luck with your choice there is a lot out there to choose from.
Researching this more I've found a video on Revzilla saying this exhaust has catalytic converters. I don't see it mentioned anywhere else though. Does anyone know if this is true?
Sorry not familiar w/ them.. Ive had V&H on my last 2 HDs I've owned and never had any problems w/ fit or finish so went w/ V&H again. Keep searching and you'll find your answer. Good Luck and take your time it's a lot of $ to spend.
I don't like paying for a name, especially one by a pompous builder. I have something totally radical going on my Road King and paid nowhere near what you will pay for what you are asking about. Had K&N black Big Radius on my Road Glide and loved it. If you want performance, D&D Fat Cat I have read nothing but rave reviews on. My Indy feels the same way and now wish I would have consulted him before I went with what I did but I wanted something very few other bikes have.

the AN website says 49 State legal...which on 2010+ bikes requires a cat.
