It's a bit discouraging to see you trade off a long term bike that you had some much time, effort , and expense in for a new bike, only to have so many issues it.
Rotors banging on the "pins" sounds logical but so does loose steering bearings. Did the dealership generate an R.O. on this. If not then they can claim they never saw the bike for this problem. A suggestion, get some Ride-On sealant balancing fluid and get rid of all the weights on that rim. Use the recommended amount of Ride-On.
If they are saying it is normal and that they all do it but yours is the loudest they have ever seen then I'd say that yours is abnormal... It means your tolerances are looser than all the others ... not an area I want loose tolerances.
Ask them "What the Tolerance is".. their should be an engineering spec for the amount of acceptable play.. and they should be able to show this to you and then demonstrate it is within spec.
Mine just started doing this. It's only after the bike is ridden for awhile. I don't think it's the steering head because I can leave the bike absolutely still and even on the jiffy stand and recreate the sound just by pulling the brake.
I checked the bolts and they are torqued good, pins are still in place and calipers are properly torqued to the forks. Bike is 2 years old with 27,000 miles. It started about a week and half ago
