So OP your saying you got a basically 5 year old going on 6 year old bike and expect the manufacturer to replace parts on your bike??? LMFAO... thats funny right, there dont care what your riding....
Same thing I was thinking. Guy has a problem with his 6 year old bike, is surprised there isn't a recall and asks for reimbursement. My 9 year old Makita screw gun broke last week. Perhaps I should fire off a letter threatening to buy DeWalt.
So if I got this right, you had a part fail while you were on a trip and got it fixed on the spot? That sounds like a resounding success and prompt dealer support, something for us all to celebrate! Let's here three resounding cheers for Harley Davidson of Lakeland FL.
All the manufacturers have pattern failures. Life is too short to freak out about them.
I did get half my money back from a intake manifold leak on the GM 3.4, because there was a class action lawsuit.
Harley should tighten up their QC, eventually it will bite them in the ***.
When the quick connect on my '03 started leaking, my Indy replaced the in tank fuel line, which was known to be too long, resulting in friction and leaks. I just paid the man, and moved on.
I say, go buy the Indian - it has been proven they are 100% - never an issue, breakdown or failure - in fact, it has been reported that All of their service departments have been shut down because there are bikes to work on???
Ok, sarcasm over
Would this have been covered IF the OP had a ESP?
