Default Internal Antenna Location?

I recently upgraded to a 2006 Ultra Classic. I was told by the dealership if I wanted to take off the rear backrest/speakers and tour pack I could but since I have a stereo I would need to plug it into an internal antenna so it will get reception. Can anyone tell me how to locate this?

Unless someone has added one, it probably does not have an internal antenna.
At least it didn't ship from the factory with one.

I think the dealer meant that you will need to add one (or at least some type of antenna), since your taking the tour pack and factory antenna off.

you could use a bracket and re-locate inboard of the saddlebag- I use a $12 pepboys stubby.

a vertical antenna will almost always work better than an antenna which is horizontal- esp if subjected to electrical fields from lights, leds, ignition.

since you have an ultra you could do similar on the other side if you want the CB.

There are all kinds of threads on antennas and tourpak removal

Yes unles someone added it you won't have it. I added the Boom Audio powered internal antenna and it is mounted inside the fairing.

Others have bought other brands online much cheaper and get great results also.

Not a difficult job to do if your inclined.

Probably a stupid question but what all is needed to be bought with the antenna from O'Reillys?

Mine looks like this one below. Can't seem to find it on O'Reillys website.
