Power Commander 5 with auto tune or Power Vision Basic???
I have read the power vision "looks" at more things...what does it look at and use?
Any pros and cons?
The Power Vision is a flash tuner (which means it is used to load a map onto the ECM), and does not stay on the bike unless you want to monitor the stuff in the video.
Additionally, there are some "self-tuning" options with the PV. You can use the Power Vision to "record" your ride and it will suggest changes to your map, which you can then apply.
On top of that, you can purchase the "Target Tune" module which includes wideband sensors and a device which stays on the bike which dynamically adjusts the map based on riding conditions.
I'd suggest a call to Fuel Moto, they can explain it all in great detail. http://www.fuelmotousa.com
[edit] So I just re-read your post.
The direct equivalent to the Power Commander 5 with Auto Tune would be the Power Vision with the above mentioned Target Tune. At this point the difference is that the Power Vision would let you do the monitoring in the video, the Power Commander gives you none of that.
Auto Tune Basic is a feature of the Power Vision. Auto Tune is a confusing name for that feature. As I said above, Auto Tune Basic lets you record your ride and make changes to the static map on your bike, and it is a capability of the Power Vision device itself. If you want the equivalent to Power Commander 5 with Auto Tune, you'd need to additionally purchase the Target Tune module.
But again, call Fuel Moto
