Where exactly were you parked? This happened to me and believe it or not when I got to the dealer that was the first question the tech asked. Told him I was at Home Depot. He said, Yep, something in there interferes with the signal.
Bike fired right up (of course) at the dealer. Tech said it had happened to several people at same location and mentioned another place in town that causes the same condition.
Tech told me had I just rolled it away from the building it would have fired up.
I was parked right at the front door ov CVS pharmacy, but rolled it to the other side of parking lot to push it on to trailer. Also was still not starting when we got it to my buddies funeral home.

Not much of a "Tech" if he told you that story.
Even "IF" something was messing with the security signal, entering the over ride code will ALWAYS still work. It completely bypasses the FOB Signal.
Absolutely no reason to have to push the bike anywhere.

No, the override code didn't work either. First thing I tried. Pulled it off the trailer at the dealership and it fired right up. As for Charlie's credentials, he's been at the same dealership for over 20 years and I'd trust him with any type of work.
Yea Guys, the overide with pin would not pull up. I had the Dealer go through it with me at the store, just to make sure i was doing it right. With the bike armed and without me moving it he went through it with me. Same as what i had tried and would not bring up entry screen for me that day. We entered my PIN and it was working fine at dealer????

if you've got a signal that is interfering with your fob, what you have to do is to make sure that your fob is out of the equation. if that means taking the battery out of it, or setting it down 25' away, then do that.
if I have my fob in my pocket, and I try to enter pin override mode, I successfully activate the 4 way flashers. if I take my fob away, and do the same thing, then my bike enters override mode. the problem with interference is that it may be intermittent. keeping you from starting, but still being recognized as nearby....
