I'm gifted with a local car wash that I can get to before my motor gets hot. I start my bike roll out of the garage and then ease over to the car wash and shut it down quickly before it gets hot. Use some common sense with the high pressure wand. Nothing works better IME.
I have also used std non foaming Gunk on automotive/classic muscle car motors and the motor ,rear wheel & sprocket my Kawasaki H1 & H2 tripple 2 strokes,Z1-900's & KZ-1000 too for yrs with great results.
I tried foaming gunk in same app when it 1st came out and wasn't impressed and went back to std non foaming gunk.
But that was many yrs ago so dont know if gunk improved the foam version that could be just as good or better then non foaming gunk.
Since i got the HD with the black krinkle paint on the motor its not gotten dirty enough (YET!) to try gunk on the motor & or lower frame of bike under trans and primary to see how it does so have no idea how well std or foaming gunk works on hD's painted motor.
But from past exp i'd say gunk should work well but keep in mind it will strip wax so black paint on frame & chrome may look a bit dull when motor/bike dries post cleaning w-gunk requiring a good carnuba wax job to liven it back up to a nice shinny luster again.
I've used non-foaming Gunk engine cleaner since the early '80's, pickups, motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATV's, semi Trk's, etc etc......
It has always worked with out any side effects.
