Have you "adjusted" your bike to fit you? One of the biggest things overlooked when getting a bike is the initial setup of levers and peddles! FIRST , once you find a seat and bars that work for you,you need to complete the setup with all the other adjustments. Just because you fit on the bike doesn't mean that it doesn't need to have any further adjustments! An inch or two in different directions can mean a world comfort, or discomfort. Assuming that it isn't a physiological condition, you should try this!
OP do you go ask the Doctor how to fix your harley? Why ask a bunch of bikers whats wrong with your hips, go talk to the doctor and get a better understanding that your getting older and your body needs more stuff to maintain it. Find out what your body needs and then adjust the bike for more comfort.
I'm 54 and have had two hip replacements so I have had years of bad hip riding. Lots of great advise above. Stretching, hydrate, potassium etc...
I have had to just stop and get of the bike more frequently. Or even stand up on the floor boards while riding to keep them loose. A big help for me was a Corbin seat with a narrow front. I didn't seem to put as much lateral pressure on my hips.
p.s. my hips are fantastic now riding is not an issue.
I had the same issue until I added foot pegs to the engine guard. They are low and angled back so I place my heels on the footboards and ***** of my feet on the pegs. No issues since.
I've been dealing with that for years now. I take 2 Aleve before I ride. It loosens up the muscles and does help. I hate it but I'm kind of glad to see it's not just me.

Same here. I do have one hip that gets sore when riding in cold weather though. Am looking forward to getting a Corbin seat!

Batman
Batman, The OP very well may have gone to the doctor, and is just trying to add to the information. I have an othropedist, a rheumatologist, and a family doctor, and none of them ride. I've described in detail the issue I have, and none of them have a clue. One of them said that I could stop riding, , and the others said I could just continue to cope with it.
