My current mirrors allow me to see too much shoulder and not enough road. I'd like to move them out or get different mirrors. Any suggestions? I have seen this on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/151652072866...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
But I'm not sure it would solve my problem. I've looked at some online vendors, Dennis Kirk for one, and haven't found anything that looks like it would move the location much. Any experience with the Harley or kuryakn extensions? Suggestions (of the valid sort!) are welcome.

I just bought the extended HD mirrors. I think they were about $25-30 each at a discount HD dealer. Most of the extensions just raise them up. The mirror stems are longer so it moves them out.
A friend of mine likes the Harley Split Vision Mirrors on his Ultra, part no 92190-06. I'd like to find some fairing mounted mirrors like it for the FLHX.
I put Kury blind spot mirrors with LED signal lights. The mount moved them out about 2". Also, I don't aim my mirrors to see behind, but to see "a little of behind" and more, the lane next to me. http://www.kuryakyn.com/products/239...signal-mirrors
I'm running the Kury extension (1444; $45) on my 12 Road Glide Ultra which pushes them up and out. This helps a lot with bulky winter coat on. Another guy I ride with has the HD ones (91907-87; $30) and he looks over top his shoulders and back on his Road King. On my 08 EGlide I installed the fairing mount mirrors but moved the template out 1/2 inch prior to drilling so I could see further back/not look at my shoulder. Based upon what you say you see I would highly recommend the Kury ones. I drive from the beach into *** everyday and it allows me to see all the headlights darting/changing lanes behind me once I get on 564. Gives me a fighting chance to accelerate and get out of the way if they are too busy texting.
Like shug100 did on his 08, I installed FLHX mirrors on mine and moved the template around some before drilling holes as seen in my sig pic. I like the look much better and can see fine behind me although I'm a habitual head checker.
