If you are installing apes, many of them do require a special wire set that is longer, plus allows for that sharp bend. Are your bars 1 1/4"?

What year bike is it? Are you trying to pull the green plug through?

It's a 2012 SG. I have the TBW in already without the green plug. I'm trying to get the right side component wires in.

As someone posted earlier, tape up the entire wire bundle before you start feeding them in the bars. I used a piece of mechanic's wire and tried to push them through more than pull. I bought a bottle of wire lube from the electrical section of Lowe's and it worked great. Patience is a virtue on this project, take your time.

Where did you get the mechanic wire? I thought about using the metal ball string like the kind you have on the ceiling fans.

I have the 10 inch LA Chopper Twin Peaks and bought the TBW assembly without the green plug and used baby powder to help with the process. I walked away 3 times before finishing the project. You'll get it, hang in there.....

Lowe's, Autozone, NAPA, O'Reilly's, just about any parts store should have it.
