Help with d01 thru d10 codes
Hello everyone I'm new to the touring world. I have just picked up a 2002 ultra classic efi and trying to get all the little things fixed on it. But I have a few problems I cant seem to get fixed any help will be great. I have a d10set code on the speedo and cant find where to start of what needs to be changed out or repaired. Second one is it runs good cranks right up but when going down the road and you lay into the gas it starts to spits and skips and what I call misfire. got new plugs helped some. Its like its needing more gas or something. took fuel sending unit off and found the linner of the tank is coming off so I cleaned it the best I could and have a new fuel filter and lines coming just hoping that will fix it. but if anyone has had a problem like this or close please let me know the wife is ready to ride lol thanks

After all the diagnostic codes are displayed, the speedometer's pulses per unit (PPU) setting is displayed. This number will vary depending on speedometer part number.
SPEEDOMETER TROUBLE CODES
CODE - TROUBLE - WIRE COLOR
d01 - speed sensor power output shorted low - red
d02 - speed sensor power output shorted high - red
d03 - not used
d04 - not used
d05 - speed sensor return shorted high - white
d06 - speed sensor return shorted low - white
d07 - not used
d08 - peedometer power overvoltage - orange/white
d09 - speed output shorted high - white/green
d10 - speed output shorted low or open - white/green
5 digit number - speedometer pulses per unit"
also "CLR means clear.
Again, not my answer, copied from elsewhere a while back as a reference.

Has anyone having or had any issues as mentioned above, I'm having the same issues. Talked with a HD tech, and he informed me there is no codes shown above lol. The tech showed me the code book and sure enough the above codes are not listed. My 2000 softail is running great at idle, but once you put some throttle to it, head light dims, speedo light dims, speedo needle goes negative/under 0, runs rough, engine light comes on then it will run fine for a short time & cycle through this same scenario at a low throttle. On the road at higher throttle it will stall. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've changed the battery, plugs & wires & regulator. It's a carb not efi. Thanks again
