I'm not going to get in the big oil debate here but I can tell you this...I have used them all. I too have been on the "perfect oil" quest and spent hundredsand hundredsof dollars in the last25 years and came back to Mobil 1. This is not my first TCand I have hadmany HDmotorcycles (and other brands)over the years. I just feel with the experience I have had that the perfect combination for a new HD is...
Mobil 1 V-Twin20/50 in the crank and primary and Mobil 1 75/140 in the transmission.
I am by no means an expert, nor do I sell the stuff...I just know what works.
Besides...all these guys can't be wrong...
Mobil 1 is factory fill in:

Thanks for the information! You seem to make the most sense of all the posts, although all posts had some good things to say. Thanks a lot, and happy safe riding.
It may or not make a difference to everyone but I when I took a ride to bring temp up I did noticed right awaythat the trans worked smoother then what Harley had in it. Can't tell with engine yet, but it did sound a bit morequiet. My own opinion is that all the syn oils are pretty close to the same with exception to syn3 becauseits not a true syn. oil. Thanks again to all that gave input, the main factor forusing Mobil1is that it is available almost everywhere you ride so if you forgot to bring oil on a long trip its easy to find. I understand that Red Line is very hard to find and Amsoilyou need to look hard for but not as bad as Red Line.
