I have been riding with it for three weeks now have had some high 90 degree days. No leaks yet.

Looks like a great piece of work. But, why not just use the Reda cans, that fit in saddle bags?

I have heard they let out a lot of vapor and leak, Plus I need the room in my
saddle bags for my other gear.

A good solution. The Reda style of can seems self defeating to me - extra fuel for less luggage! I got round the challenge by replacing my 5 gallon tank with a current 6 gallon one, although I was also doing a major once-over of my older bike with other modernising feastures.

Nothing like paying attention. Was told that there was sparse fuel stops on the way to Sturgis so I carried the redi can. didn't need it at all but worked great , no spills or vapor.
