Helmets
The SNELL standard for automobiles and motorcycles is essentially the same to the point the NHRA and other sanctioning bodies require SNELL or others and NOT DOT-only helmets on the track.
All SNELL motorcycle helmets are DOT approved. Not all DOT helmets will pass SNELL nor are they submitted. A SNELL AND ECE is ideal but very rare and expensive.

Yeah - if your HJC gets itchy you're not alone. I've had a couple HJC 3/4's and my brother had a couple and both of us had the itch. After a bit of time on the bike especially if its a bit warm my head would really itch . I never get that with the Shoei
I agree, there is a store here in frederick where the guy sat with me and tried on helmets. I settled on the arai signet q when I went in for a 3/4, it just fit me so well. I spent more buying from them but he spent almost 45 minutes with me. I had a shark evoline previously, it was okay but not all day comfort like the aria. Modular helmets are bulky and heavier
