Take a look at the HJC IS2. You can keep the half helmet thing, but it has a retractable visor that pulls down to just below your nose. Retracts up inside the shield for storage. You can easily replace the visor with clear, tinted, yellow, etc colors.
Another +1 for Revzilla. I use a Shoei Neotech modular usually. I just picked up a Scorpion 3/4 for warmer weather, and it's nice. Drop down sun visor, extended
length clear shield which can be removed for use with a separate visor. This helmet is surprisingly quiet. Check them out. Scorpion EXO-CT220
If I buy another modular it will be a Neotec. The drop down visor in it actually fits me, all others hits the top of my nose....I tried them all...in the dead of summer here I just can't wear a modular, plain too hot. The only way to get air us to use a 2" shield, I like a bit mire protection than that from the bugs. My RJ Platinum works best year round.

I forgot to mention that Shoei's drop-down visor is also the only one I tried that didn't hit my nose as well. I wish Shoei would come out with a dark tinted visor for the J-Cruise for those really hot days...
