What do you use to take of Mufflers
Then the box store I work my retirement job at had a special on it.
That stuff is amazing. I just started restoring my 61 year old Ford 850 tractor, and a couple of shots of PB Blaster loosened those old bolts right up.
Previous to this, I used Deep Creep, which is a foaming penetrating oil, made by Sea Foam, recommended to me by Mike, by favorite Triumph mechanic at Baxter Cycle in Marne, Iowa. He removed 35 year old head pipes off my '75 Trident using Deep Creep. I couldn't get them to budge using WD40.
WD 40 sucks compared to the above two products.
One of my bike I discovered loose this weekend. I changed the tire last month didn't notice the pipe was loose. Last time pipe was off might be 2009.
I noticed the saddlebag support to pipe were loose. I should have checked both ,when I changed the tire.
I threw a new one in my bags, and re-torqued the old one. Curious.
It was pinging last week, kinda hot, but not as hot as some days. I thought bad gas. Must have worked loose.
