Excellent power and great HP numbers. My only concern is where these numbers are achieved, alot of us don't want that 4500-5500 range of power. Although what a great passing traffic formula. Keep up the great work Jamie.
I don't think you have to worry about that. look at that torque curve, it's almost instantly over 110 ft/lb, over 120 ft/lb at just over 3k rpm, and stays there until just after 5k. i'm betting that that bike is a real fun ride
We have an M8 engine apart for a FM 120 big bore kit, just thought I would update this thread with some images of some of the engine components. This motor has 8000 miles and has not had any issues.
Looking at the rocker assemblies and shafts the wear is minimal, the piston skirts have normal wear on the thrust surfaces. The only thing we found is that there appeared to be less than perfect ring seal on one cylinder as shown in the image below.
Was at my local H-D dealer chatting with a sales person, Saturday Oct-14-2017. She did not know that the new ones were limited when I got to asking her questions. She tried to assure me that they were not. I told her that I was quite sure they were. Seems that not every one gets training on the sales floor. I asked other questions that never got answered. IE I asked if the Heritage Classic 114 that was on the floor there had 'Integrated Brakes'. She wasn't sure but would find out. I'm still waiting for that answer. I have talked with a male sales person there and gotten half baked answers from him as well. I'm glad the forums exist. At least we can get real answers.
