This is a strange request and not sure how it will be perceived. I'm looking to put some sort of apes on my '15 SG...prob the 12" HD black set.
Question: anyone in the Charlotte NC area that would meet up and possibly do a quick ride swap or let me throw a leg over? Project is pricey and I want to be sure.
I've been going to the dealer and so far no SG with apes has shown up for resale that I could demo. I'd like to try it with a SG because the seating is diff compared to the Ultras.
Try bike night at Macs on South Blvd, Wednesday nights or McCoys on Old Pineville on Friday night. They both normally draw a good crowd. When I was deciding on my bars I just starting looking and then talking to owners. Most of them were really nice and let me set on their bike. I run Wild One 12.5 on my 12 FLHTK, second bike with those bars and a friend of mine runs the same on his 12 FLHX. If you haven't decided by the weekend send me a message and I can meet you somewhere around Concord. I do have a Hammock seat on my bike so it sits much like a SG. Good luck.

Yeah I heard McCoys is a good crowd. Few of us have talked about riding up. Been to Macs and it was def a good time. Thanks for the info. I like the 12" height I believe. Not looking for "APES".
I have 12" Yaffe Monkey Bagger Bars on my SG. But, I have them pulled back so I ride more relaxed. Tomorrow, Thursday I'll be at Macs off of S. Tryon in Steele Creek watching the Panthers game. Hit me up if you want to sit on my bike.
McCoy's is always extremely crowded and a full bar with a band. On most Friday nights, security is out there directing where to park. It'll be difficult going up to someone, disturbing their groove just to say, can I sit on your bike. That's not the place to be inquiring.
Or, send me a PM, I don't mind meeting up with you over the weekend. I live in the Steele Creek area by Carrowinds and Lake Wylie.
I'm 5'11", the 12's are perfect for me (Remember Yaffe runs about 2" taller). My best bud is about 5'4" and has 14's. I see him struggling with those.

I'll be working til 6ish in Steele Creek tomorrow. Maybe I'll swing by Macs with my buddy after. Thanks!
I know you and I were discussing tuning and what not in the past, so we can bs about that too.
