All good advices, I'm gearing up to install Andrews 57H cams in my 2012 Road King this winter. Over the past year purchased all tools required for a sound install. S&S has a how to install twin cams on YouTube that is a must have.

Take your time, keep everything clean its a process that will be very rewarding.

A 2-1-2 header pipe, mufflers, a high flow air cleaner, and a dynotune. Skip the HD dealer and find a independent shop that can do the install and tune. I don't think Little Chute, WI is too far away from you so try calling Fuel Moto for some advice and I'm sure they would do a fine job on the install and tune.

I'm not a mechanic either, but these two threads made me successful in my cam swap on my 08 back 2010. I re-used the push rods. I also had to ask a buddy who builds engines and is a real mechanic a couple of basic questions for clarity. But the point is, if you aren't afraid to tackle the job, it isn't hard to do. Oh yeah, BUY A SERVICE/REPAIR MANUAL! (I bought the little plastic cam locking tool and borrowed the bearing puller/installer.)
