I have no doubt EITMS would have kept my friend from burning out the cam bearings of her 2003 Fat Boy while sitting in traffic last year at Sturgis. I advised her "when you're stuck in traffic up there, turn the engine OFF!

But no, she let peer pressure convince her that circulating oil was better than stopping heat generation at its source and let it idle.

She wouldn't have been "comfortable" either way, but if she'd turned it off, she wouldn't have stalled at 65 mph on I-25 three times on the way home, and had to invest in the parts and labor for new cams.
