Default Can You Tell The Difference By Just Looking?

The difference between a 2016 Limited, and a 2016 Limited Low? Can you look & say, "Yup, that's a low", or "No, that's not a low."?

Good deal. Thanks. Dealer had to find me the color I wanted. Didn't want low. I have passenger floorboards.

I believe in 2016 they all had the narrow primary. Pass pegs vs boards and reach handlebars vs std are the easy to see differences

Yes, you are correct....I was actually just going to edit that. 2015 only the "lows" got the narrow primary but 2016 all touring got it. Passenger pegs stock on the "lows" vrs footboards on the std is the easy visible difference.

IIRC,
little scrapping pegs on the riders floorboards (I think) and a very low seat that looks like it would hurt your manhood!

Along what was mentioned above.^^^^^^^^^^^^

I think that the Low has a smaller diameter handlebar as well as what is listed above.

Yes! from a mile.

Every standard height touring model since the springer has the cowbells ( or beer cans) just about in line with the top of the fender.

Go out to the garage and look now- I'll wait here.

A lowered bike will have the cowbells below the top of the fender.

Shown here my stock 1995 FLHTC and my Pal's stock 2005 FLHTCUI:

Shown here, my Pal's lowered 2011 FLHTK and my stock 09 FLHTC

.....these 2 pics were taken within 2 months of each other...we BOTH went shopping.

and for historic reference only a pic of a stock 1953 ( only the tires and oil have been changed:

To spot a bike which is lowered in the rear, a stock 13" shock will position the rear axle behind the mufflers, a 12" will show the end of the axle between the muffler and the bottom of the saddlebag

13" hand adjustable:

13" stock Showas on 1995 FLHTC:

12" FLHX shocks:

Aside from the end of the axle another indicator is how much of the brake disk you can see.

For Historical reference to lower the Panhead, you run at 25 psi:

These same factors can be used to eyeball any touring bike the past SIXTY-EIGHT years, and know right away if the suspension is stock or lowered or a "Low" sub model.

The Lows don't have heated grips.

At least in '15 they didn't &&@%$#^@ have them.

The bars aren't smaller, grips from the Limited fit them fine.
