I had a nightstick on my bike when I bought it, sounded okay while sitting there idling. But while riding it was horrible, my buddies joked that it sounded like a moped. Couldn't get rid of it fast enough, I tried removing disks and the cap and it sounded worse.
Good luck with yours, I think dealers sell them with bikes because they wouldn't get rid of them any other way, IMO.
Just had SE585's installed on 07 CVO ultra. Have V&H dresser duals with the fatshotz with open end caps and PC V.
After dyno she had 86hp, 98t. Wasn't very happy with the numbers so asked like what the heck, dealer is telling me the pipes are killing the bike. Next day I get another dyno done, 95hp, 113t. That's a little more like it, although that was with V&H high outputs that the dealer slipped on, and require $1000 bucks if I want to keep them on (in Canada).
Is there anything to be done to these fatshotz, or is that they just can't handle bigger motors?

I personally like the look of fatshoz and when I had stage 4 done by Steve at GMR on my 2010 SG, (107, GMR heads, GMR 577 cams, heavy clutch spring) it was at 110hp/120tq. 100+tq available at 2200rpm and up.
I had the Dresser duals before the mods and he strongly recommended 2-1 or at least 2-1-2. So I changed the head pipes with S&S units with hidden connnectors.
Above mentioned numbers were with the 2-1-2 mated with fatshoz. Open end cap.
I don't think they are that bad of pipes.
I jusy thiught id share.
