I haves 14 SG and find the seat not very comfortable. No issues being flat footed. Had a Pepera Cherokee on my softail and loved it. It was firm but comfortable, and had a little bit of back support. And it put me in the bike, the stock seat on the SG puts me to high. And after about 40 minutes I get numb. But everyone different. What fits my but may not be comfortable to others. Just hope MCC can come thru with a good seat for me, and the misses.
My update so far. I received a call from Mean City Cycles telling me that they had received my seat. They wanted to inform me that the gentleman that does the modifications would be out until possibly Friday. I appreciated them informing me that there would be a delay. This is what I call customer service. Like clock work I received a call yesterday from MCC telling me that they had completed my seat modification. Now if only Fedex would hurry up and deliver my seat.

This was one of the first things I did to my bike back when I bought in Dec '13--it went out in January of '14 for the Super Narrow, memory foam, and heater. Money well spent, Alan is a good guy who knows his seat work. I'm sure you'll be happy with your seat when it comes back.
I received my seat from Mean City Cycles yesterday. The seat looks as it did when I removed it in regards to quality. So far the folks at MCC have taken care of me. Now I waiting on decent weather so that I can take a ride and report back on comfort. Expecting snow Friday and temperature is not expected to get above 28 degrees this weekend. I need to relocate. lol
Had the seat on my '10 Ultra Limited done with the double decker and tailbone channel. Did 1300 miles in a couple of days and the last 200 or so each day was agony. It's not just firm, it's damned hard and there is very little room for the foam to compress. I've considered sending it back but that's another $70 just for the shipping with no real guarantee that it will fit me any better.
I recently bought a Purple pad and am going to give it a try. If it works, joy. If not it will move to my office chair and maybe I'll think about sending my seat back to MCC.
