Contact LA choppers, they make blocks to fit them all. Dropped my Ultra stock shocks perfectly 1.75", no rubbing bags or scraping pegs. Slid the forks down 1" too. All good!
older post BUT....Bitchin Baggers takes your own shocks and rebuilds them to lower your bike. Still can use preload settings etc. On the special none of the lowering brackets work well. They either cause performance issues or rub the bags. 175.00 to rebuild the shocks is heck of a better deal than air ride.
I'm waiting to get my second set of shocks back from bitchin baggers. My first set went on my 2000 Roadking. The new set is going on a 2012 Roadking 10 3/4"
The Streetglide is already 1" lower than a standard touring bike platform to begin with. If you lower it another 2" you'll end up with a bike that rides extremely harsh no matter how much air you have in the shocks or how you have the preload set . Especially riding 2 up
A 2017streetglide doesnt have air ride unless its installed after market. Not sure bit I believe that's at least since 2014 if not earlier. Likely around when the road king when to a different suspension than the air ride it had previously
I had 13" air shocks on my RK. I bought some 12" SGS premium hand adjustable shocks, which is what you should have, and added these from Tamarrack. The only time I bottomed out was when I was 2 up and forgot to set the setting higher on the left side. I will sell you these for $50 shipped if you want. I bought a low CVO seat and took these off.
