Removing these.

Installing these but I'm waiting for the HD chrome riser cover to come back from powder coating.

This is at the powder coater getting a gloss black treatment.
Looking forward to seeing the pictures when you get it all together.

Cool cornpipe, I have an FLHR and looking to do the same thing. Probably go with the 8" risers.
The risers combined with that of the bar you should be getting a total of 4.5" of pullback.
Really looking for pics of your results - please post.

Yes sir I will definitely post some pics. I also bought some expandable mesh wire covering since the h-bar wires will be exposed in the middle of the risers going to the headlight nacelle. I want everything nice and tidy. I'm also having the kickstand powder coated at the same time. I gave up trying to find a black one from a vendor. Those things are like gold if you can find one.

That would be nice to have that much pullback. I wasn't sure how much the 10" risers gave you. The bar is like 2.5 pullback. So originally I was going with the 8" risers and their Raptor plate. The problem with the Raptor plate on our bikes is you loose the top headlight nacelle trim piece which exposes the seam. You also loose the riser cover and the fork lock cover that slides open.

The guys at Lucky Speed Shop advised me to go with the 10" risers and to pick up the HD riser cover which allow the Kraus risers to pass through the two side holes. Unfortunately HD discontinued that cover in black for some reason. Hence the chrome one getting powder coated. Just to let you guys know Lucky has good prices on Kraus products but the wait is a few weeks. I paid an extra $50.00 to Kraus to get parts right away. Both places offered me a military discount.

The kickback risers bring the bars towards the rider 1.5" and the fm bars have 3" pullback. Regarding hiding the wires, Kraus states that their risers have slots in the center of the riser body for clean wiring. For me, having those slots for clean wiring is why I am considering Kraus. Without that, there are better priced options such as Thrashin.

I think the riser moto bar gives a decent look when combined with a fairing or windshield. But not sold yet on a Road King with none of those and naked. A tall riser and bar combo with no fairing or windshield looks odd to me. I'm trying to decern what a 10" total setup would look like when not running my tinted windshield - if it turns out I don't like it - expensive mistake lol. For my height 10" riser/bar combo should fit fine.

Their risers do have slots for the wires to pass through from the bars but you can still see the wires going down to the headlight. I'm going to make it look like one single harness with the mesh covering vs the individual switch harnesses and throttle harness. The good thing about Kraus is they are modular in design so you can try different length riser bars and the poly urethane bushings are up in the h-bar clamp vs being at the triple tree end. Plus they are mounted on the tree with solid bushings. That's great to know about the pull back thanks for the info.

Gotcha... good plan with the wires. Yes the modularity is nice. Look forward to seeing your setup.

CJ these are the slots in the Kraus risers and the holes in the bars for wiring.

FM H-Bar

Expandable mesh wire covering.

Ah.. ok I see now. Thanks for posting that.
I just saw a video where a guy was using a pull-back plate on a King, and as you mentioned, losing the trim piece and causing the seam to be exposed in the nacelle, etc. And it doesn't look good at all.
