For the parts exploded view go to

https://shop.outpostalaska.com/OEMpa.../NACELLE_AND_H

The nacelle and headlamp have to come off, 15 minute job at most, that will expose the riser bolts

Other than that, it was a pretty straight forward swap - although much more involved than plain old-fashioned wiring outside the bars.

I'm going to ride around with these for a while and see how I like them.
Hi,

So how did you find these bars? I was thinking of doing the same ones.. Let me know

Thanks!

I like the way they look. And, they make it easier to turn the bars hard and still reach the controls. They were easier to fish the wires through, but the bar mounted turn signals are oriented for much less grip angle. So you either have them pointing outwards at about 45 degrees, rotate their mounting block awkwardly forward, or do what I did and cough up the additional $150 to mount them on the sides of the fork tubes.

As for their comfort? Well, they moved the pain from between my shoulder blades to the middle of my back...so, I’d say it’s a wash for me. I had to invest in a back rest. The hunched over bad-*** feet forward arms out Harley look works when you’re 25...but can suck when you’re 60. But, Riding position is a relative thing, so what works for one guy won’t necessarily work for another, right?

If I could do it over, I’d look for a low bar with more forward grip rotation...like maybe a Wild1 W0504? Anyway, hope this helps?

No, thats perfect, thank you.. like you I'm getting a pain in between my shoulder blades. This is my first Harley, coming off a long line naked/street fighter sport bikes. I've been looking at the Wild ones too, as well as some of the shorter Ape's. I think the low seat has a little play in it too. Thanks again.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have been trying to figure this out too with no luck.

I'm trying to hold out until the dealerships restock so I can get my hands on the parts I think will work but found out this week that Harlry is discontinuing the item so not sure what is going to happen.

Apparently January is the time to buy a bike. Just bought mine a few days ago. $3000 under MSRP and the dealership paid the sales tax on any bike sold through the entire month! Proud new owner of a 2018 RKS in Vivid Black. Went into the dealer just to look at bikes (I knew I shouldn't have as I'm an impulsive shopper) and it took all of 15 minutes before I was signing paperwork.

Wow...what a deal! What dealer? Might be worth a drive across state! Sweet bike! Love the RKS!

Congrats on a beautiful bike and a sweet deal. My next bike will be a RKS for sure.
