02 Electra Glide Standard is pretty basic NO? The radio is optional on them, does it even have one? Let me see if i hear what your saying here. It was 13k in 02 and now 5 years later he's asking 3k more than what it cost him new. Sorry but IT'S A USED BIKE, REPEAT, IT'S USED. [:'(]$10,500.00 - $11,000.00 Tops, JMO
I wanted to thank everyone who responded. He did come down in price, but I have decided to pass. You guys were absolutely right. And yes, I was fixated on this particular bike. Around 02 is whenI REALLY started wanting one of these. My son was born that year so it was pretty much out of the question then (although my Heritage was worth more then . . . Hmmm) But I do appreciate all the advice.
I'm leaning towards waiting until the 08's hit, and see how they are, also knowing full well there will still be new and barely used 07's out there. I also agree with what others have said about different models. A friend who works at the local dealer even said the Standard is great for what it is, but most all of their customers spend 2-3K making them more like a SG or Ultra. Probably best bang for the buck is the Classic. It has the touring essensials W/O the extra's. More research and as others have said in advice to people new to touring models have said, "ride em" . I need to spend a day in the saddle (RG incl) on each one. I did spend part ofa day on an Ultra. Awesome motorcycle!! Would I use a CB? I would want the tour pack off most of the time, and the lowers(cold weather only).
