Saturday morning my brother was broadsided on his 07' Street Glide. We were returning from the bank on the way to Austin for the R.O.T. rally. A woman in a hurry to get home and eat her Bush's Chicken pulled out across 2 lanes of traffic through the turning lane(which we both thought she was gonna stop in beings we both had made eye contact with her) hittin him in the left side and pushed him across a lane and a half. I was riding next to him but staggered about a half a bike to the rear. I backed off to hold traffic back while this what seemed like a half hour accident occured. By the grace of God he kept the bike upright and after they separated from each other got back over to the turn lane. She on the other hand decided that she was going to flee the scene and that left me with a hard decision. 1) Leave my brother there inthe middle of the turn lane, 2) Chase that piece of $hit down to make her face the music that she very well could have killed someone. Beings he was still coherent and upright I opted to chase her down. Long story short, he is fine with foot and ankle damages, unsure at this time to the severity til some follow up xrays and visits with an orthpedic. The bike on the other hand didnt fair as well, they are talking about frame replacement, along with inner and outer fairing, engine guard, saddle bag, floor board, and forward control replacement. Sorry to be so long winded I just wanna remind everyone to ride like your invisible, cause people sure don't give a $hit whether you make it home to your loved ones!!
Was she arrested for hit and run and fleeing the scene of an accident? I hope you brother gets well soon and then sues that bitch for every worthless penny she has.
I caught her damm near had to run her off into the ditch! she decided that it was a good idea to to roll up the windows and lock the doors beings she had her 15 year old granddaughter with her. Friggin cops wouldnt charge her with fleeing cause she said she was scared. cause of the 2 "big bad bikers". Funny enough my bike doesnt fall under the big bad biker type bike and we were both wearing polos beings we just left work. There will be a call into an attorney tomorrow though
You shouldn't have mentioned it if you're planning on killing her...[sm=bomb.gif]
Relax and let things kinda cool off and everything will work out andbe cool, or at least you won't lose your temper to do something you can't take back.
Is she an American, or a mex national running cause they'll deport her?
First I hope your brother recovers without any problems. Second I think you made the right decision to chase her down, since he was alert. Please tell us you got the Bitch! [:@]
Call out the PD and Raise Hell. SHe hit someone and left the scene, thats no excuse for her or them. Pull the phone out of her Azz and she could have called 911 and stopped, but she left the scene. Start with Sergeant then work your way up. SHE should be chaged with Leaving the scene of an accident that had damage and injuries. Let me know if you needed the statue looked up I will grap my TX motor vehilce laws book from locker at the station.
