2016 Ultra Limited with V&H Twin Slash Round slip-ons, will be adding an Arlen Ness Big Breather as well. Local gear heads are telling me to get the SE Pro Street Tuner vs. the FP3. Once I tune it I don't see the need for me to monitor live the performance. I'm a set it and forget it ride guy. As of right now I don't see me going beyond this stage, maybe change the slip-ons for a different sound later on. These are guys who don't normally recommend HD products due to the cost. Any thoughts on wheter to go the SE route or get the FP3?
I've had both. I don't need a dyno or a tech with my FP3. I can cage **** on the fly. No dyno appointment needed. And now with the EPA strangled Harley tuner. I'd never use it.
FP3 ain't the be all end all. There are other options. TTS, PC. But for me. It's the FP3. My bike runs great. Changed throttle response to Standard plus. It's a whole new bike.
I like my FP3 you can set it and leave it then if you add something you can make changes then once you get a map you can auto tune to customize it to your style of riding. All for one price. What is your price difference between the two including the Dino labor? The FP3 is done and running in about 10 minutes then you can auto tune as you ride most of the time the auto tune is not needed. The only thing I didn't see was are you removing your cat?

I was told with either I wouldn't need a Dyno. The FP3 is $100 more, but within my price range. I really like the ability to use my iPhone to configure the ECM, the SE I'd have to hook up my computer.
The FP3 works fine for me, and quite a few people i know, can be had for around $300, dunno what your dyno tune is, easy to use, good for at least up to a stage 2
If you're going to dyno it, I'd speak with the dyno operator/technician before buying anything. Let them make the recommendation. If they use what they feel the most comfortable with, they will do a better job. Some even have the ability to tune, for a small additional fee, without having to purchase any additional device.
If you are going to do it yourself, look at Fuelmoto. They are a sponsor here and everyone speaks very highly of their customer service and free maps if you change things later.
I like my FP3, and the real deciding factor was being able to use the iPad or phone with it. Had the PV been Mac compatible I probably would have looked harder at it, but I'm not unhappy with my choice at all
