Got this bike a week ago and really regret it. The handle bars seem restrictive and make it hard to steer at lower speeds and the damn thing burns the hell out of my leg. I'm displeased enough I don't want to ride it. Any ideas how to shield the blow torch from my calf?
Just sell it and get back on your Goldwing. Or moped. Same difference.
Too bad you apparently made such a big mistake. But, in all the previous threads on the '17s, I don't t call anyone making no those complaints. Though lesson about adequate research and test driving.
I've said this many times, in many threads, most dealers offer rentals of current model bikes. It's a much better way to experience a bike than a test ride.
wow! not many can say they made a mistake on a bike purchase that they currently ride..... admirable man...i did the same thing 4 years ago with a 1700 vulcan... bought new, suffered thru riding it ( and not wanting to ) and finally said the hell with this... i goofed... sold it for half what i paid and moved on to a bike that fit me better...and american made... always wanted a harley just didnt think i could afford one...hard lump at first for sure but most of us have been thru it... it's just darn hard to admit.. dont do what i did spending all this dough on mods that did nothing to make that old bike funner to ride.. just unload and go on... best of luck
