Anyone using this? thoughts on it, can't afford Thundermax and am tired of dyno tuning bikes when changes are made... Thanks
==================================
I have also been very interested in this fuel management system too but can't find all that much feedback on it here or online either.
Have read their website a nd have sent 34-emails asking a few basic questions about it and have never received a response which is a red flag IMHO.
But during the same basic time frame i sent the emails i noticed there was activity/ans to questions asked on their website so i asked same basic questions there and still got no response.
I usually get ans to any questions i ask venders online in ref to motorcycle parts online so no resp to direct emails and also asking questions on their online forum turned me off from giving them a try.
What would happen if i bought their system and had a problem or question on it,very likely the same thing which is nothing/no response.
Good feedback thanks, have found more negative information on RC Components as well as the unit, guess I'll just have to get some overtime and go with the tried and true Thundermax unit, never see bad reviews on those or the company...
my Power Commander V has been a good unit but at 200 bucks to dyno for every mod it makes experiments a bit spendy...
I put one on a 2011 Ultra Limited a few years ago in Sturgis and let me tell you, I knew I was on a completely different bike the minute I pulled away when I picked it up. I was running a fuel pak and couldn't stay with my friends up there in the hills. I was always 1 or 2 gears lower trying to just keep up when we hit any upgrades. Don't know anything about them now but they were very helpful back then and answered all of my questions.
Actually now that I think about it, one of my riding buddies put one on last year in Sturgis. His bike runs great.
Ohhhhh that is a list. To start, (and I have complained about it on here before) VH has horrible customer service when the FP3 doesnt work quite right. Their only solution is "Autotune, autotune, autotune". I have been doing that for 3 year, and my bike is still running like it has a carb. Its cold natured like a mother. I even showed up to VH's booth at Daytona, they were less than no help there. Just the you have to auto tune song and dance.
Now, when the bike is warm, she runs fine. There is the next list of issues. I used to have the RCXellerator. My father still does. When we go on a long ride, we fill up when the first person is empty. That first person is ALWAYS me. When I am out, he still has 1/8-1/4 of a tank more than I do. That RC tuner really does give you better fuel mileage. We went to the mountains, 5k feet up and ofcourse, everyone without the RC started running very rich due to the lack of oxygen. Not the RC. His bike tuned it right out, and he was right at rain. At my location, I am 3 hours from no elevation gulf and 4 from a few thousand feet up mountains. I am actually considering just junking the FP3 this week and just ordering another RCXellerator.
