I take my truck when we want that lol. My wife refuses to get communication in our helmets.
We just wear half helmet skid lids that are DOT cert but it sounds like at least a 3/4 helmet or full is what your are looking for to fit your gear and they are safer if you go down for sure.
There re is no way better way than to try them on as every noggin is very different. Good luck!
I have a Shoei Neotec with a SENA 10U communication system in it. It's a great helmet that is modular so you can flip up the front for drinking or talking without taking off the helmet. And the 10U integrates into the helmet perfectly. Get one of each X2 and you're set to communicate and have very comfortable helmets. But as with all helmets, you gotta go with what fits your heads.
Whatever is comfy, provides the level of comfort you want, has the features you want, is in your budget, and doesn't look overly hideous, should work.None of are really gonna know which one that is.
if it doesn't fit right you'll never wear it more than an hour. different brands tend to have different shapes. best is hit world of wheels show many vendors try em all on, when ya find the "one" jump on google and find it cheep.
The best helmets are Shoei and Arai. They have distinct shapes they fit best. Try a bunch of 'em on in different sizes. You will find one that feels most like wearing nothing.
The easy answer is highly recommending Sena 10S or Sena 20S which is the best and could do everything your looking for. Helmets dictated by cost, head shape, modular or full face. If you want a quite helment you should go with a full face or modular. Look at Shoei, Arai, HJC RPHA OR Schubert though these aren't cheap.

This is a great setup, it's what I have and am very pleased.
I also wear it in winter when snow blowing when it's cold and windy.
