I have the stock black inner fairing on my 2005 Ultra Classic. The painted color matched inner fairing is one of the best looking things on these touring models. It just brings the bike to the next level.
How do I go about getting it for my bike? Do I paint the one I have, or buy a separate one?
I think Harley offers them for $800 or $900 bucks. Is there a cheaper option?
If you think it brings the bike to the next level you should
pay the piper and get the Harley job. Just me but having it
painted sounds like a crap shoot.
What color do you need to match? My concern would be that
new paint might still not be an exact match for an 11 year old
paint job? Perhaps a used one is out there.
you need to speak to paul from The fairing exchange. he has Facebook page as well as web site...he is in laconia this week but will be making his way back to florida soon.
+1 on faring exchange. They just did my 2010 Ultra in Red Hot Sun Glow at the Myrtle Beach rally. Looks awesome and was happy to pay to have them do it while I drank beer and watched the weird go by.
Had mine custom painted two-tone complete with the pinstriping for the 105th anniversary scheme. Paid $350. Looks OEM if HD sold two tone inner fairings. Dale Flewelling of Art Attack in Newport NH did mine.
