On my 2006 RKC I keep the triple tree deflector on full time. I use the chrome fangs in cold weather only. I used to leave them on for moderate weather until I installed my LRS. The first ride at about 80 degrees with the fangs and the LRS installed, the engine heat cooked me as it was pulled more vertically... Great for cold weather! but with the change in air flow by the LRS, keep that in mind.

I'm trying to decide now which windscreen to go with as well.
I really like my LRS. It makes for a more comfortable ride with less buffeting. The fangs are very easy to put on and take off. Just my 2cents worth...
I put the new style rounded HD fangs on my bike a few years ago; solely because I liked the way they looked. They don't seem to do gatz for wind buffetting, but I haven't tried 'em with the windsheild yet, which is where I hear they excel. In the 7 years I have owned my bike, I have only used the windsheild a few times; all before the fangs.

This is exactly what I have been doing with my 2011 RK. The LRS windshield is impressive the RK's.
I had the HD fangs on my 2012 Road King, Loved them. Then I lowered the front 1" Fangs no longer fit, I wish they made a set for lowered bikes. I had a DK 2" Tank lift liked it, but 2" decreased my fuel capacity, I might try a 1" next time with their wings. I've had great service from them.
I installed the Cooling Deflector Wings on my bike Friday night, went on a 300+ mile ride on Saturday. I could tell a difference, especially when the vent wings on the fairing were closed. I don't think they would work so good on a bike without lowers unless they were redesigned. I have a Memphis Shades recurve windscreen, and the triple tree air deflector on the bike.
