I recently ran into a problem with my 07 street glide. 1st my bike has been upgraded to a 103 with oversized pustons and cam and has a screaming eagle auto tuner but I don't want to explain everything. I was putting everything back together and went to tighten one side of the header pipe stud and than one of the studs without even touching it. It broke inside of the head so I tried to remove it with the appropriate tools but when I got it back together since the bike was on an anfle so was the stud I don't want to spend alot of money on new heads since they have a compression button what can I do you can email me at ndrsfrncs@yahoo.com please.
Take the head off and visit a local indy or dealer, or even a race shop. Don't try to remove the crooked stud yourself. They will probably have to make a welded repair, then drill and tap to fit a new stud. Then you will be back to as you were originally. I had a similar problem with both heads of a shovel, many years ago. A local drag race shop repaired mine for me.
welcome!
im sure there are going to be many responses. friend of mine just got a 95 low rider for $3000. little rough shape but ran. many bolts were stripped including the exhaust. He just put what ever he could in there to tighten them ,things bullet proof if you get a little creative. next were changing the crank for $400, another story
