I On the way to work I suddenly lost all lights on the RK went out but it was running fine.. first safe spot I stopped and shut it off (bone head move) checked fuses nothing blown, reset connections, Still no lights, gauge work, oil light, neutral light all normal start lights come up but it clicks as the Fuel pump engages but doesn't make a sound when you hit the starter switch. Battery tests fine I can't find any shorts there were no problem s the day before. I ride about 65 miles a day total going to work and home not counting other trips. Stator maybe ?
Battery tests fine how? What's the voltage? Did it pass a load test?
At this point the stator is way, way down the list of things it could be. In fact, unless it's not charging the battery at all, I don't think theres a way it could keep the bike from starting.
Absolutely first thing to check is all battery connections and cables. Check both positive and grounds at both ends. Give all cables a good look under the insulation, they can corode inside. All connections should be clean and tight. Undo do each one, clean and retighten. Don't assume because they "feel" ok. You likely have more than one ground under the seat, be sure to check.
Check kill switch.
Maybe verify starter solinoid is working.

I checked the terminals and reset them, there's no sign of corrosion cables are in good condition look new. Located the reset it. checked battery voltage 12.6v connected a charger and tries to start it with same result no headlights or taillights and would not do anything when the starter is engaged.

i had the battery tested at the parts store to verify my multi meter checks and it's good. I traced both grounds one under the seat to the frame and one by the starter both are clean and tight. I noticed now my headlights work but no turn signals or brake light and nothing at the speedo when I turn on the switch just the oil light and neutral light now ? Any possible spots to check ?
Check the ignition switch on the tank. I have an 08 that occasionally does weird stuff in the morning similar to what you are describing. I can grab the ignition switch and wiggle it a little and everything comes back on like it should. I should change mine but it's only occasionally and always comes back to life immediately when I wiggle it a little.

Good luck.
Have had this happen to me. Engine kept running but lights and gauges went out, however, others had had everything go out. The wiggle test seems to work fine.
With the other distractions, you may have bumped the RUN/OFF switch (right switch box) to OFF. If it is ON, try cycling it a few times as the contacts can oxidize and a few ON-OFF cycles cleans them a bit. Hope it is that easy.
