My heat shield keeper/tab failed again on the same rear exhaust pipe heat shield (HD #65951-09). This is the third time! First two times I replaced with a take off one. This time I pop riveted the keeper/tab back onto the heat shield.
I drilled a 1/8" hole and used long aluminum 1/8" rivets (Arrow long rivet, RLA1/8IP). I also placed a #6 stainless flat cut washer on the end. We'll see how long this will last.
