The banjo fiting would take up the gap if you got the kit with the catch can.

FYI on the tuning,
If you decide on using the TTS tuner, Jason at Faribault HD is certainly a good choice. If you call them you will likely be taking to Dan in the performance dept first, Jason is usually in the dyno room and Dan knows his stuff too. They are also good at helping with performance decisions. Sounds like your past the decision making just an FYI.
Sorry to hear of your troubles!

That’s crazy, mine is the 30th! Lol!
I rebuilt my cam chest and installed new cams!
Picking my up on that Saturday, maybe I’ll see you!
Jason is very good at what he does, he did my wife’s 16 SGS and she really loves the results, just a stage 1 but she’s loves how manageable the throttle is, from stock, whole different scenario than yours!

I had the same problem using a Screaming Eagle back plate for the air cleaner. The 1 3/4" bolts were the longest I could find. I bought a counter bore bit on eBay, made a jig to hold the air cleaner back plate on my drill press, and counter bored the holes in the air cleaner back plate deeper so more of the breather bolt could go into the head.

I used a 29/32" bit and counterbored it in close to 1/2". The 1-3/4" breather bolt protruded out of the air cleaner plate about 1/4" before counterboring. Afterwards it protruded close to 3/4". Here's the bit and the aircleaner after install. Sorry I didn't take pictures of the work as it progressed.
