Just got back a few hours ago. Although I've been before it was much more fun with a passenger who enjoys nature complete with camera etc.
Took three full days to get down skyline and the BRP without any issues. Full days mind you.
My previous advice... I didn't find even one mile of the ride boring this time. We enjoyed it all.
Top to bottom it was curvy, scenic in it's own way, and worth seeing.
The lower part from Boone to Cherokee is exciting though. Lots of tunnels and high overlooks.
Seems like he put a lot of effort into it. Helped big time to pick a road or two I would have never run without prior knowledge.
Worth picking up if you have 22 bucks or so.

So true. I got back last weekend from a week in Marlinton WV and the color there was looking good. Nothing here near the coast and inland of northern Massachusetts.
