I wish I could go back and get a Road Glide. I tried going for the performance bagger look but its not the same with a street glide.
IMO some easy things would get the look, lose the backrest, pipe wrap, fairing mirrors, streamliner parts. Of course the real guys are way outside my pay grade with the inverted forks and built motors. No offense meant sweet bike!
Figured since I was giving feedback I should post my progress pic. All work done in my garage.
2015 SGS
bassani RR3
SERT tuned
Woods 222
SE heavy breather
FXR division streetwitch bars
hoffman carbon front fender
la Pera Kickflip
vans grips on TBW throttle tube
blacked out most stuff
joker machine shift and brake pegs
some speaker and amp upgrades
....have the progressive springs and monotubes in the garage with black front end waiting to install when I get the time, I just got her back together from powdercoat.
Not sure Id call it performance yet. Still lacks the upgraded breaks.
2011 king, legends cartridges up front, 2018 RGS shocks in back (they suck), s&s cams. Radical brakes havent been installed yet. Need longer lines.
Nice road King. I bet no one knows what model that is when you pull up.
I like the fork boots. Was thinking that on mine but wasn't sure how it would look, does the top of boot rest on bottom of triple tree. Did you have to zip tie to hold top of boot in place?
