Went and had dealer flash the BCM today. So now I removed the ignition and it turns on and off with the handle bar run/off button. Cleanes up the triple trees. One day I'll swap the top triple to a better looking triple tree.
Gartec, I am looking to have this done as well so I can install Kraus T-Bars on my 16 Street Glide Special. The issue that I am running into, is that I am running a Thundermax and I am almost positive that the Tmax will block access from the dealer's digital technician tool into communicating with the BCM. I am thinking about riding to the dealer with my HD ECM in my saddlebag, switching them out in the parking lot, getting the BCM flashed and then re-installing my Thundermax. Do you think this will work?
Just ordered this cam. Not much out there on it. First cam I have ever bought so once its installed I'll give a ride report.
Says big power low end and mid till redline
Are you doing anything else or cam only?
I am doing a RS468 cam next week but figured while I'm in there and doing a tune I'd address some of the M8 issues so I can trust it a little more on long trips.
Ended up doing SS tappet cuffs, lifters, fueling oil pump and plate and SS quickie push rods. Mine's a 2018 so the oil pump is suspect.
Never used a tmax, so don't want to mislead. Give the dealer a call and talk it through. They will know. I'd did t mess with my fuel moto powervision tune at all. But I use a powervision only

Trying to do a budget cam job so, cam, adjustable pushrod, tappets and black tappet cuffs. Winter I'll get a cam plate and other doodads. Still need to paint the tank and get a fender so couple things in cue

Well I was just gonna do a 2-1 pipe. But then it needs a tune. So I might as well do a cam. And if Im in there I might as well do an oil pump and lifters and blah blah blah...whoops! Lol. Adding some more horsepower next week, and itll actually sound like a Harley finally. Front suspension this winter, rotors once these wear/warp and that should be done...lol.
