Removing inner fairing brackets - ok ?

My buddy didn't replace the small brackets when the speakers were replaced - a few years later we had to tear it apart and replace the large brackets. Eventually the metal will fatigue and break if the small outrigger brackets are installed. No experience with the plastic brackets.

Same here. I have a 2002 and used the metra adapters with rockford fosgate speakers and was able to reuse the brackets.
