What about them is vague?

I can tell you it is much, much easier to understand once you are looking at the wires, then just go step by step.

Route the harness by tucking it into the wire tray under the tank, leaving slight slack for movement.
(did you get the ACR Connector Clip?)
You should be able to see where the harness comes out of the tray on the right side, near where that clip would go. The rest comes out the bottom of the tray. Just try to shuffle the wires in the tray so they lay properly and aren't pinched or bulging.

As for hooking up the wires, basically you are taking the harness and putting it in series with the fuel pump fuse.

(you’ll have to skip step 4 under Install ACR Overlay Wire Harness because it is an 08)

One wire from the existing fuel pump fuse gets moved to an empty slot, then the two wires from the harness get hooked to fuse block, one to the now empty cavity of the fuel pump fuse, the other to the empty cavity where you put the old fuel pump wire.

The hardest part is getting the damn fuse block far enough away from the frame so all the wires can be installed properly in the back of the fuse block. Then the fuses would be installed in the front as usual.

Then the harness gets hooked to the ECM at cavity 19 via the third (V/GY) wire.

Hope that helps.

Thank you!!! So when the 2 wires are moved to the empty slots do they now need a fuse?

Actually, in the fuse block, one wire gets removed, three get inserted (the one you removed and two from the harness)!

Say the fuel pump fuse is in slot 4, which has two wires. One connects to one side of the fuse, the other to the other.

You will be moving one of those wires to an empty slot ( # 3 which is directly above 4)

Then one of the ACR harness wires replaces the one you moved, and the fuel pump fuse can now be replaced.

The other ACR wire goes to the empty space that is left where you moved the fuel pump wire to (slot 3) then a fuse is put in slot 3 to connect the two.

Again, once you start doing it, it is much easier to see what is happening, especially since you don’t have to move those other wires that, on the 09 and above are in slot 3.

So instead of having an empty slot 3, and fuel pump fuse in slot 4, you will have a fuse in both.

The service manual should tell you how to remove the fuse bock, fuse block locks, etc. so the one wire can be pulled from behind the fuse block, then the three can be inserted from behind.

The fuses are inserted from the front as normal.

I guess there was enough room to work behind your fuse block. It is a little tight!.
