have a recall on 2007 electric glide classic has anybody had this done did it help and what did it do also what is it for .Have 2100 miles on bike runs great no problems had 1000 service done what is the next miles 2500 or 5000 to change fluids and so on need some opions
Had it done on my 07 Ultra, it is called a torque smothing re calibration on the ECM, bascially it lowers the shift points forcing you to shift sooner to keep from luging the engine, my bike ran great before re claibration, tho I always ran the rpm out before shifting and never luged it comeing down in gears, it was smoother and sounded better but I regreted doing seems I lost to much power, I had to add mufflers then Supertrapp SE which enabled me to get back 95% of what I lost from the recall, IMO I wouldn't do it.
I am a little nervous as I am about to go for the 1k service and SERT install/dyno on thursday. I got the bike in March, so I don't know if I have this down load or not. Any idea or thoughts? thanks and HAGO! Remi
Anything built after nov 06 allready came with it from the factory, dont remember the exact link but on hd`s website there is a place where you can enter your vin# and it will show what recalls are needed to be done..
I don't think that 'recall' is the word that is appropriate, it is more of a service bulletin.
Recall means that there was a mistake in manufacturing the product and we all know that that would be an impossible thing at HD. (just kidding you know).
