Default Cheap eBay highway pegs

Anyone bought the highway pegs and mounts (most likely China made), off eBay? They have the short and long angled that look like the H.D. products for $55-60. Don't expect them to be as nice as HD product just wondering if they are decent? Do they stay secure to crash bars? Is the finish (either chrome or black), durable?

I bought a pair of the short chrome ones this past summer. They look as nice as the HD ones, have to wait and see how they hold up. Did have an issue with attaching them to the crash bars. Just could seem to get them tight enough to keep them from spinning. Cut a small piece of rubber tape and placed the clamp on top of that, problem solved.

I bought a set because somehow in the build process a nice set mysteriously got lost. So the cheap set (black in this case) do stay in place. Only issue I have is make sure you get the placement right from the get go. The hex head bolt heads will give way to fatigue.

Bought a set of pegs and angled mounts off Ebay and they looked just as good as Moco's brand and have held up well for about 2 years.

I've had the same pegs on both my bikes and they hold up and retain their looks fine. As far as them moving around... I get them where I want them and put some red Loctite inside the clamps and tighten them down. They DON'T move after that. If you need to take them off, just loosen the bolt and give them a rap with you hand.

I have the short black angled ones off Ebay and they look just as good as factory. The fit on the crash bars is a little imprecise, so once you tighten them down you better make sure they are in the right place because if you move them you'll see the marks they leave behind.

I bought the set up in chrome you are talking about. Chrome looks good for now so we will see as the miles run up. Saved several $$$.

Go to your HD store & look at the boxes...you might be surprised where they are from (e.g. same as cheap eBay).
