Search gave some recommendations but unfortunately some not around now... Any current recommendations for a good tuner that's knowledgeable and capable and will take the time to do it right?
I have a Powervision and am adding Target Tune, and prefer someone that would use license and can produce something compatible--if it isn't obvious I've never had bike tuned and know next to nothing about the process or parameters. Willing to go some distance if necessary and/or worthwhile--assume I really ought to break in engine build first anyway, and I have new map from Fuelmoto that should at least be rideable in the short term.
Any experiences, comments, suggestions would be much appreciated.
I havent actually done anything with them personally, but Ive heard good things about Notorious Concepts in Parker. I will be having them do some work on my bike soon, based on word of mouth. Might be worth checking out. https://www.notoriousconcepts.com/
Any other suggestions? Posts some time back had recommended Randy @Speedwrench, but I guess they've closed--anyone know where he landed?
Sorry, should I have posted this in ecm/tuning forum?
I had Randy at Speedwrench do all the work on my 2012 SG. He did great work. Unfortunately he closed down. He was working at Mile High Harley but has left there and I'm not sure where he is. I'm also looking for an experienced tuner. I also picked up PowerVision with Target Tune last year. Had some success with it but still get some pinging. As soon as we get some nice weather I'm going to start over with a tune from FuelMoto. I'm not sure I was following best practices with the PowerVision last year. I'm hoping I can do better.
I've got a new map from Fuelmoto ready to go as soon as I get my engine upgrades installed, but they highly recommended dyno tune--I think especially in light of my piecing together build from various sources/manufacturers. They told me the auto/target tune features of all these ecm programmer/replacements function mostly to keep air/fuel ratios set, and that proper ignition timing needs to be done on dyno. Just seems like it's so difficult these days to find people who do good, conscientious work...
Had these guys do my Dyno after new cams - http://www.frontrangecycle.com/
They are in Ft Collins - happy with results
They are a S&S certified dyno tuner
