Here's a pic from last year of my King with the LRS Recurve on my Reckless Fairing. Fairing has been off my bike a month or so now, it's back to being a Road King again!
I have the Hoppe Quadzilla and I have been through the same problem. Hoppe fairings use a proprietary 5 hole bolt pattern unlike the Harley 5 bolt pattern used up to 1995. the Hoppe shields are also make of acrylic that shatters, unlike polycarbonate windshields. Reckless fairings use Harley bolt pattern windshields. I plan to sell my Hoppe and buy a Reckless fairing.
Well, I'm actually glad I slept on getting a new windshield because I just bought a used LRS Javelin for $36 today. Should be in next week so I hope to have it installed next weekend.
Hope it works out for you.
Height is very important. My Fairing came with 2 different size acrylic windshields, I first went with the shorter one, that thing put the wind right square in my eyes, no way, off it went. The longer one went on and was OK. I talked to LRS later on and went with the poly recurve shield one inch shorter that still puts the air just barely over my helmet but gives better visibility. Interesting note, after only a year of riding with the acrylic shield, when I took it off to install the recurve, there were cracks at the bolt holes. No more acrylic shields for me!
I once had a strip of rubber fly up on the interstate and smacked the recurve, I saw it bow a little, but no damage. Amazing.
The first fairing I had was a Mempis shade and I got a 7in standard with it. Later I bought an 8in spoiler shield from Memphis shade and it worked wonderfully. The shield that came with my bike is a 5in standard. I'm really looking forward to this Javelin. It was listed as an 11in but i think that might be incorrect.

Installed the LRS yesterday and rode into work today. WHAT a difference! The height is perfect and the look is awesome! I wore my 3/4 DOT with bubble shield and had just a little buffering on the bubble shield. Can't wait to see/feel the difference on the way home w/o the bubble shield. There's only one thing I don't like, it interferes with my cup holder. Think I'll have to adjust the cup holder a bit.
