if you have a 2008, then you do not have a push button key fob. if you do, then you do not have factory security. that could be why your code doesn't display. otherwise, I've never heard of the pin not displaying.

The unit came from Harley and it does have a push button key fob. Posted the problem as it took a lot of looking to find some one with same problem. It works as should, and posted to help if some one had same problem.

what part number? here is the hd smart security system from hd. clearly stated that it fits from 07-13 touring bikes and clearly shows proximity fobs. there is no push button fob that comes up on a search on the online store.

Default Part No.

Part No is 68200_00D, could be model before noon push button key fob. Works, just have to count numbers in head when entering manually.

the newer instructions for that kit state that it is for 2002 through 2006 touring. if it works, great, I guess. I hope the dealership gave you a good deal on it.

Got it on eBay from Dealer for $100.00 if manual entry is only problem, I will be satisfied. Also put a son alert horn for $25.00 and works fine. Like to tinker with bikes been doing this since 1965. Don't know how much longer I will be able to do it. Turn 70 next month, but so far so good. Guess it helps most of guys I ride with could be my sons. Lol
