Default 1997 Electra Glide Classic

I have the mm F/I and changed the stock mufflersm to Chrome Werks and put an Arlen Ness big sucker air cleaner assembly on. Does the computer need to be reset due to the changes I made, or leave it as is?

Yes. You'll need to remap the fuel.

Not sure what you mean, "download" maybe? Best bet would be a Power Commander from Fuel Moro

New pipes and an air breather are the same thing as stage 1 and there are no remapping requirements for that. Why would he need his computer setting changed for a big sucker and chrome works mufflers?

No, but there is a Stage 1 download that the dealer can do. The Big Sucker, or any upgraded air cleaner, will lean out a bike that was already running lean from the factory. An add on tuner will do the same thing as the Stage 1 download, but it will also enable more customization of the tune.

I was told not to remap the computer on this f/I system. My question is should I disconnect the battery to let the computer relearn or it doesn't matter

If it runs ok leave it, if it has a flat spot get it tuned. My twin cam with same system ran lean and had flat spot after stage 1. Ran for three Summers 40,000 miles with pc3. Now have Tw21 Cam's so getting it tuned in a week. I've heard on here the MM system don't like big changes but it's fine with the small upgrades. If you can get a deal on that pcV, and it fits the year , grab it. The mm system has different plug than the Delphi.
